Thoughts from Becka about visiting the Youth For Christ crisis pregnancy center in Kampala. “We met many young women who are pregnant and getting the support that they are not getting from home from this wonderful center. The girls performed a song for us that touched my heart. They sang, “ I am beautiful, wonderful, valuable because I was created in God’s image…” and then sang the same words to their babies. I imagine many of these girls do not come in to the center feeling this way about themselves whether it is because of the circumstance that caused their pregnancies or the words and actions of unsupportive families. This center gives them the chance to see how God views them and offers them the grace and mercy of Jesus. A blessing that, like the song they sang, will one day be passed on to their sweet babies.” Mercy for Mamas loves partnering with crisis pregnancy centers and offering support that allows them to better serve these young mothers.
